In 2008, Keith and his family opened West Seattle Natural Energy, LLC, a company dedicated to the design and installation of Renewable Energy Systems including Solar PV and Small Wind Energy Systems. The company has always offered electrical work to their solar clients, so in 2016 they established West Seattle Electric to meet the demand for high-quality electrical work, especially for small projects, for everyone. In 2017, they decided to merge the two companies - West Seattle Electric and Solar was born! Now with a staff of 11, and their first company service van, they continue to follow the company philosophy of a Family Run Small Business: offer the best products, use the highest installation standards and charge reasonable rates.
They strive to maintain a sterling reputation of 100% Customer Satisfaction by employing honest people, setting manageable schedules and delivering premium quality work - both electrical and solar. Every employee on the team delivers every single day. By anticipating common installation issues and fully educating their customers, they guarantee jobs that have no frustrations, no bait and switch -- and no financial surprises.

Contracts, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Taxes, Licenses....Lin does it all! She works closely with our Office and Project Managers to make sure your invoices are clear and understandable. She also answers the office phone and schedules solar site surveys.
Electrical Estimates and Project Manager
Ryan spent the first 7 years with our company as the installation manager. He has now transitioned into performing all of our electrical estimates and managing the electrical staff. He answers the electrical phone, sets appointments and answers questions. Ryan has more than 10 years of general contracting experience including design and installation of Solar PV, Solar Hot Water and Small Wind Energy Systems. He is a former Merchant Marine Engineer and is also a Licensed Electrical Apprentice.
Master Electrician/Electrical Administrator
Your solar energy system will convert clean, renewable, natural energy into electricity that contributes to the utility grid in your neighborhood. Properly wiring residential and commercial systems takes a master’s touch, focus and attention to detail, and Sim has mastered the art of this specialized installation.
Sim is a Master Electrician with the State of Washington and an NABCEP Certified PV Installer. She has been working with us since 2010. She is our only EV Charging Station installation expert and when not on a solar job, she helps the rest of the electrical team on projects.
Mark was our Solar Installation Manger for over 7 years and now oversees our electrical team, running point on our remodel and new construction work. From installing a handful of shop lights in a backyard shed to yanking out and replacing all the knob and tube in a century-old home, Mark does it all, and while training his awesome apprentices, no less. He's the goofy uncle of the team– a veritable fount of knowledge and skill, but with seriously questionable taste in hats.
When not running his team electrical apprentices, he works with Jay to make sure your solar system works right, looks right, is right. He has relationships with all of our manufacturers and works directly with them on warranty fixes and replacements.
Solar Installation Manager
Once your project is designed and the parts are delivered; it’s Jay’s job to lead the team that gets the job done right– on time and on budget. He has been with our company off and on since the beginning and has helped to install many of our systems. He rejoined us permanently in 2016. Not only does he quality check your system as it goes in, he meets with the inspector and utility representative after it is done to complete the process. Jay also personally does all the trouble-shooting for our systems, both the panels and the inverters.
Solar Manager and Executive Sales
Paige will be your #1 point of contact throughout your solar project, from your very first walkthrough appointment; through design and installation; all the way up until your last piece of paperwork has been submitted and your inspection is signed off. She manages the state and utility paperwork, as well as monitoring. If you have questions about your system, she has the answers– or she will direct you to the person who does. Paige is also working tirelessly with Casey on relaunching and revamping our entire social media presence.
When she's not at the office, Paige spends all the time she can with her husband and two children. She has a creative side like no other and is in a perpetual cycle of new idea-to-R&D.
Office and Special Projects Manager
Casey does whatever is needed. Her collegiate and professional background in journalism, layout, and design, as well as her concurrent 12-year career in visual merchandising, have given her a fondness for precise writing and beautiful things. She still oversees daily operations such as scheduling, work orders, and billing, but has been channeling her energies into focusing on bid- and contract-writing, as well as electrical plan design for some of our larger contractor clients. In doing so, she finds herself working closely with Mark and his apprentices whenever possible, to ensure plans meet code requirements and client needs. She is also currently working closely with Paige on keeping our social media pages and blog current, informative, and eye-catching.
Casey bakes. She bakes all the time and it's becoming a problem. She has been known to have entire conversations with her cats, and her cats find this off-putting.
